Polyester Round Slings
Called “Purple Round Slings” (due to the color), these round straps/slings are rated at:
- 2600 lbs. vertical
- 2080 lbs. choker
- 5200 lbs. basket
Because these slings are shaped like a rubber band (endless loop), they are called “Endless Slings” by some people. Easy to use and wear points can be adjusted to increase sling life.
Straps are used to prevent tong gouge marks in your logs as you move and position them.
Some builders ship their logs with round straps already installed for quick reerect.
Length is determined from measure end to end…thus a 16″ diameter log takes approximately a 4′ round sling…more actually, as you need enough extra to pass the one end through the other and attach to a hook or clevis or ?.
