Sashco Exterior Log & Wood Finishes
Sashco exterior finishes for Log and Wood are available in a diverse line of products for exterior use, (and some can be used on the interior as well).
Colorfast… Colorfast is the ‘optional’ base coat that creates a smoother surface for a more even stain application. It also helps to decrease the amount of stain/finish needed as it fills in many of the wood pores.
Capture…This is their Flag ship VOC compliant stain, making it safe to use indoors and out. Capture goes onto bare wood or over the Colorfast base coat.
Cascade is the Clear Top Coat that further protects your wood by resisting mold, mildew and algae growth and slows down UV damage to the underlying ‘Capture’ or ‘Siding and Trim’ stains. This will also be used for maintenance coats as it protects the Capture base coat from early sun fade.
Are you restoring an older, faded, failed coating log home?
Transformation Log & Timber is a plant oil based semi-transparent stain made especially for older log homes needing restoration. Works equally well on new construction.
And finally, for wood siding, trim and decks, (and often used on the logs themselves)
Transformation Siding and Trim…this is a easy to maintain stain (originally called High Sierra), a blend of water and alkyd emulsion.
