Peavey Shingle Froe is a light weight, well made froe suitable for shingle making.
This is technically called a shingle froe, though you may have success splitting thicker shakes.
The “eye” on this one is a a split eye where the seam is welded at the blade (the weld can be a weak point if you’re trying to doing large shakes…particularly of hard wood.
The eye has a hole drilled in the side and comes with a wood screw so you can secure the handle to the head (blade), if you want
Has quality hardwood handle.
