Using an auger to drill a hole for planting tree seedlings rather than using a shovel or a hoedad, is not only less work, but much faster and easier! The big bonus was that survival rate for the planted seedling increased more than 80 % using the auger. That’s when many tree nurseries and tree planting companies began using this chainsaw-driven auger every day, and all day long! Very popular on christmas tree farms
The lewis multi drill universal drive fits all chainsaws. Everything you need to mount the lewis multi drill to your chainsaw is included in the box.

- Earth auger…available in 4″, 6″ or 8″ diameter x 30″ overall length.
- Ice auger…available in 6″, 8″ and 10″ diameter x 30″ overall length
- Auger extensions…12″ or 16″
- 5/8″ Drill Chuck Package (use with wood auger bits)
The Universal (Bar) mount (original) has a lower gear ratio giving it more torque and lower RMP than the Direct Mount. Thus it may do a bit better on the larger diameter earth augers.
Lewis Multi Drill Universal Mount comes with a side mount that replaces the bar and chain currently on your saw. (looks a bit like a really short bar and chain)
