Description
Settling Jack
Used at the bottom or top of a post to offset the settling in a log wall. Settling Jacks, Screw Jacks, Post Levelers…different Companies call them by varying names.
Top and Bottom plates are 3/16″ with (2) 1/4″ holes in each plate on diagonal corners.
Two sizes available
- Small…1″ x 5″ all thread with 3″ x 3″ plates… best for use on top of interior framed walls…likely 3″ of effective settling.
- Large…1″ x 11″ all thread with 4″ x 6″ plates…likely up to 8″ of potential settling…thus room to add a Top Locking Plate.
Can be used with the ‘Top Locking Plate‘ (sometimes called ‘anti uplift plate’), however, if you’re going to the effort and expense of using such we recommend using the engineered Nortek leveler.
As these Settling Jacks are a non-engineered, you may need to get an engineer to review them depending on your use and where your building is located.
