Lil Red 5″ nylon cup brush
The ‘Lil Red’ 5” cup brush utilizes nylon filaments that are impregnated with silicon carbide, a chemical compound that forms an extremely hard, iridescent crystal. Silicon carbide has a very fast cutting speed reducing prep time.
- Maximum RPM 4500 rpm.
- Operating RPM 500-1500
- Abrasive Grade 80 Grit
- Bristle length of 1-1/2″
- Thread hole size of 5/8 x 11, (same as the Osborn above).
- Works best on a Variable Speed Sander/Polisher.
Only the “tips” of the brush do the work, consequently only light pressure is required to achieve effective brushing action. Excessive operating pressure will reduce the service life of the brush.
Easily attaches to pneumatic or electric sander/polishers with 5/8” – 11 pitch spindles. Operating brush at speeds over recommended range increases heat buildup, which may reduce brush effectiveness and the life of the brush. Works on the Makita variable speed sanders/polishers/angle grinders at speeds below 3000rpm
Note: Due to the shorter bristle length only the “tips” of the bristles are doing the work, consequently only light pressure is required to achieve effective brushing action. Excessive operating pressure will reduce the service life of the brush.
Note: Can also be used to polish/clean engine blocks, prepare your pickup bed for spray on bed liner…
