Description
st0087-japanese-square
Similar to a Western framing square. However these are thinner, narrower and much more flexible. In Japan these are called a ‘Kanejaku’ or ‘Sashigane’…essentially ‘Carpenter’s Square’.
- Blades are hollowed and beveled so an ink line can be laid down without smearing.
- Used in the Allan Mackie videos for transferring a point around a log.
- Available in Metric (50cmx25cm)…but don’t think this isn’t an extremely useful tool for you ‘Imperials’. (The English/Imperial (inches), measure is no longer made)…
