1/4 pitch rim style sprocket

1/4 pitch rim sprockets fit most medium to medium small chainsaws…that are equipped with a center rim (floating rim) sprocket and clutch housing.
- Rim sprockets are preferred by professionals over ‘spur’ sprockets as rim style ‘float’ on the splined hub, allowing the chain and sprocket to self aligned with the bar groove.
- 9 tooth (grooves to drive teeth) around the edge.
- Available in either Small or Standard…The majority of 1/4 pitch rim sprockets sold are for the Small shaft…when in doubt, this is the one to get.
Small Spline Rim Sprocket: Shown on right in photo above. This is the most common by far.
- 9 grooves around outer edge…where the drivers on your chain fit (sometimes called 9 tooth and/or ‘chain driving teeth’).
- 7 interior splines…(you can count them in the photo above)…also called ‘spline driving teeth’.
