Sikkens Pretreat is a clear waterborne exterior treatment which stabilizes wood, minimizing splitting and cracking. It will keep out excess moisture while allowing moisture vapor in the wood to escape gradually.

Designed for Logs, Exterior Lumber and Wood siding (both smooth and rough sawn).

Lasts 6 months to a year and needs removing with your final wood cleanup prior to application of your finishes (e.g. pressure washing).  Will not prevent the natural graying process caused by UV exposure but this can be removed when the Log Pre Treatment is removed.

Although not advertised as such it does have some fungicide/mildewcide which should help to control mold/mildew growth. You might consider running a test with a gallon prior a large order to see how it works for your uses.
