GB is the only carving bar that we're aware of that also offers a sprocket tip option. Sadly GB has undergone a restructing and no longer offers carving bars...thus we're down to existing stock on the shelves.

• GB carving bars are designed with a slender body and extremely small nose radius, for ultra-precise wood shaping and sculpting.
• Made from solid titanium alloy steel, they are very light weight and easy to maneuver.
• The nose radius is protected by a generous deposit of premium grade NASALLOY 8 hard facing alloy, which combats wear.

• One piece, solid, hi-tech titanium alloy steel body.
• Precision ground grooves; Uniform, induction-hardened rails.
• Laser cut for precision shape and fit up.
• NASALLOY 8 hard facing alloy extends well beyond nose radius.
• Grooves have rounded gullets for more strength.
• Slender body and extremely small nose radius.

Tip Size:
Dime size tip works only for 1/4 pitch chain...tho we've heard some professional carvers successfully use 3/8lp chain.
Quarter size tip works for 1/4, .325, or 3/8lp (lo pro) chain

Note: A 1/4 pitch sprocket tip is about the size of a 50 cent piece (no longer available), while the 3/8lp sprocket tip bar is about like a silver dollar. The 3/8lp is only available in the 12" length.
